A simple launcher game inspired by Learn to Fly :).  Help your favorite mythical greek character get some well-deserved rest.

  • Launch the boulder with Space
  • Hit Space to lose less speed when the boulder bounces
    • If you enable sound you'll get feedback when you hit space at the right time.
  • Buy upgrades at the shop to launch farther
  • Mouse over the achievements to see how to earn them - they'll help you earn bigger upgrades
  • Keep the boulder on the slope for almost a minute to win!
  • Watch out for lava

This is my second game! I made it from scratch in ~11 days. It's, uh, lacking a little polish, but it was fun to get it out the door. I'll be back soon :)

The code for this game is on github.

very nice game, a good relaxing game to take my mind off of my impending test... also I found a good strat which is that I hit space at around 100 height and it works most of the time, reached like 80 seconds when I somehow hit the cliff on the right past the biggg slope with so much speed I traveled back and hit the left cliff with a parachute and then ended up in the cave, where I timed my jumps and clicked with the slingshot so precisely I almost got out the cave like a beast. The details are nice too, with the height getting more stuff and the oiliness making the boulder browner(?)

for anyone who can't get the last achievement, first of all, you need a bunch of upgrades. then, you need to launch, and when you hit the ground, use the griffin and then when that ends, spam the slingshot and immediately use the parachute.

needs more upgrades as hitting 55 seconds is very hard as it is

imo a very fitting tribute to learn to fly! On my winning run I got somewhere around like 62 seconds, although I think it would be better if after the biggg slope it was just flat ground rather than the cliff face!

A very fun little game to play!

Thank you!

Fun game! Cant seem get the slingshot to work? I click it, but nothing seems to happen. Even tried waiting for boulder to be moving very slow near the ground so I could see if it did anything.

Are you clicking the boulder or clicking the slingshot in the bottom left? You need to click the boulder (if you click the top of the boulder the slingshot will bump it down, if you click the bottom of the boulder the slingshot will bump it up)

If you are clicking the boulder and not the slingshot, what platform are you on? I don't think anyone else has had your issue yet but I will poke around.

Welp. It turns out im just dumb and cant read. It literally tells me how to do it in the game. I was clicking the symbol in the bottom left. Just tried on the boulder and it works perfectly. My bad! Thank you for helping my dumb brain. LOL

No worries!! Maybe it would have been helpful if when you clicked on the slingshot the game was like "no no no, click on the boulder instead" lol

Thanks for playing :D :D

Thanks for making it! I had a good time. Got to 50.5 seconds!! So close. That 55 goal is difficult lol.

Very cool, however, I wasn’t able to hit 55 seconds. I wish there were more upgrades (or maybe the ability to upgrade parachute/griffin?). Also ability to toggle parachute would be nice

I was worried 55 might be just too hard!  I could hit it during  testing but yeah, I think with a a few more upgrades (I love the idea of upgrading the griffin) it'd be more manageable.  The strat I used to hit 55 seconds was to just build up _all_ my height at the start (slingshot, griffin) then parachute immediately and hope to get lucky with bounces.  I'll play with an upgradeable griffin.

Also I hadn't even considered making the parachute togglable!  That's a neat idea and makes so much sense.

And thanks for playing, I'm still not over the thrill of strangers playing my games :)

I really liked the fact that the game was short. I remember that games of similar type required a ton of grind and u had to play them for hours to beat them.
